Who's Eligible
»» Must be a North Carolina Resident
»» African American Male
»» 2008 Graduating Senior
»» At least a 3.0 GPA overall
»» Accepted to 4 year College or University
»» Must have a financial need. (Scholarships are needs based.)

Deadline - June 1, 2008 (Postmarked on or before  6/1/08) 

As students move into higher education, technology is becoming a vital necessity to students.  Laptop computers have become a mandatory pieces of equipment needed by all college students.  FBMA with the help of its sponsors and partners will be awarding laptops to qualified graduating seniors that are planning to attend 4 year colleges in the Fall of 2008.

Requirements:
»» 2-3 page Essay answering the questions below.(2-3 pages total not 2-3 pages per question)
     1. How do you feel your college education will make an impact on society?
     2. What does it mean to you to be an African American Man in the United States?
     3. Explain your financial need.

»» 3 Letters of Recommendation from either teachers, counselors, or academic administration
»» Copy of Official High school Transcripts
»» Copy of Acceptance Letter to College or University
»» Proof of 5 hrs of Community Service since Jan. 2008.
